These small informal sessions are perfect for couples or women and their birth partners that are preparing for their first labour and birth.
The course runs for 5 weeks and usually has 6-7 couples attending. The sessions are run on the same night each week after work so that partners can attend.
Our aim is to empower women and their partners as they being to focus their sights on their approaching birth. Each couple receives a booklet unique to YouToUS which contains information to support the sessions , and lots of wonderful tips collected from mums, partners and midwives.
Our approach to teaching comes from a realistic, holistic, research based , humorous and open-minded place. We will explore your fears of labour and your partners fears.
Meeting the needs of the birth partner is critical and we will give them plenty of practical suggestions on how to prepare themselves for the birth and support their partners.
Many new friendships are formed during these courses that continue into the early days of motherhood and beyond.

This session is perfect for women who have had a previous birth and wants a quick recap on labour or breastfeeding, or for a woman who has very little time available due to other commitments and therefore cannot attend a full course. You can chose which areas you need to brush up on.
If you had a traumatic birth previously these sessions can be invaluable . Women can use this session to debrief and let go of deep fears that they may be carrying with them into their approaching labour and birth.
These sessions are flexible time wise and can be held in your home or at Justine's
Unfortunately sometimes due to maternal or foetal reasons a woman finds herself having to undergo an elective section rather than a vaginal birth. This can be a great dissappointment to a woman as believe it or not women do look forward to giving birth!
It can be a quite frightening prospect for a woman and often means that they miss out antenatal classes and therefore meeting other women that are becoming mothers.
We have designed a course for you. It consists of a one- to-one session in your home to empower and prepare you for your elected section. We wil go through what happenson the day and how best to recover.
You will then join one of the existing courses to do the breast feeding and postnatal sessions where you will meet other mothers to be.
